This Might Hurt Tarot Website and Digital Guidebook Now Online!

Hello beautiful backers!

I am delighted to tell you that ThisMightHurtTarot.com is now finished and online! All colored cards and card descriptions are now available to read on this website, which will function as a digital guidebook. 

The best thing about this website is that it's free! The second best thing is that the font is way bigger than the teeny tiny font I had to use in the printed guidebook. I highly recommend anyone with a vision disability use the digital version over the printed version.

The website also includes an introduction to reading tarot, including instructions for simple readings, and a brief overview on the format and symbolism of most tarot decks. While the card descriptions are specific to This Might Hurt Tarot, they can be used to compliment any Rider-Waite-Smith based deck.

I absolutely hope you enjoy this guidebook! The printed version of the guidebook is complete as well and I am finalizing details with the printer this week. This project is going to print very soon and I can't wait! I owe a great deal of thanks for my many friends who read drafts of this book for content, spelling, and punctuation. They really made this project (and my writing) infinitely better!

Hello Everyone!

Just writing a quick update to remind you that today is the LAST DAY to fill out your backer surveys! Please do this today if you have not already! 92% of Surveys are in, but there are still a few that haven't been filled out.

Tomorrow morning, I'm going to lock your reward selections and charge cards for add-on item purchases and pledge upgrades. You can update your shipping address up until we lock addresses for shipping.

Website an Guidebook Update

In more exciting news, I have been working hard on the guidebook and website! Every card in the deck is now available to view on  https://www.thismighthurttarot.com. Eventually card descriptions will be added for each card and this website will serve as a digital guidebook that anyone with internet access can view anytime. 

The guidebook itself has been written and is currently being reviewed by my amazing team of test readers. Thank you Turnip, Elizabeth, Laura, Kelsey, Jon, and Luke! I will be using their feedback to complete yet another draft of the guidebook this coming week, at which point it will go to my amazing team of copy editors. Thank you Ramona, Dan, and Shawn!

Once the guidebook is in it's final form and ready to be turned into a book, we'll be laying it out in Indesign. My hope is to have all of this completely finished and send to print by the end of next week!

The last day to make final updates to your order is Sunday, July 7th. After this date, we will lock your reward selections and charge cards for add-on item purchases, pledge upgrades, and pre-orders. You can update your shipping address up until we lock addresses for shipping.

If you haven’t answered your survey yet, if you fill out your BackerKit survey or pay for extra shipping after the July 7th order due date, we’ll still receive your information but your shipment may be delayed.

Survey Deadline Extended to July 7th

Hello wonderful backers!

At this point, 88% of you have filled out your survey! That's 667 people! THANK YOU! That's also 82 of you that haven't filled out your backer survey you. It is vital that surveys are filled out in order to receive your rewards! Surveys are how you let me know your shipping addresses, and what style shiny you would like on the edges of your deck.  To give you extra time I've extended the survey deadline to July 7th.

Preorders and add-ons will stay open until July 7th as well. As soon as surveys are closed the following day (July 8th) orders will be locked and cards will be charged. You will still be able to change your shipping address though until addresses are locked, which won't happen until decks are ready to be shipped in Autumn. So if you are moving or changing addresses between now and then, no worries! You will be able to adjust this as needed. 

In the meantime I've been pretty busy with traveling and other projects, but I'm making time to work on this guidebook! It's all going well and I have a first draft done! I'm going to polish it up into a second draft and send it to test readers next week, so that decks and guidebooks can be sent to print mid-July.

Hello glorious backers!

I am excited to announce that I have just sent out surveys to all backers through backerkit! They are probably already in your inbox. These surveys are very important because this is how I will know where to send your reward and what type of edges you would like on your deck! The deadline for surveys is June 30th. Please please PLEASE have these surveys back to me by June 30th. I really want to get all of your rewards safely to you!

Add-ons will be available at the end of the survey! If you would like to add an extra deck or pin, you can do so for no additional shipping cost! This includes international shipping. Prints or adding on multiple decks may cause additional shipping costs. If you know anyone who would like a deck and missed the Kickstarter, no worries! Pre-orders are available through backerkit as well.
